My only suggestion would be to have a shuffle feature in the next update.

Overcast has come very far, very quickly. The effects are definitely worth the price. Voice Boost makes Podcasts sound loud and clear on small speakers, and smart speed saves tons of time by shortening the pauses between spoken content. Please, please, please make a Mac native app with the effects, and speed controls. Even Apple doesnt have that, and Id pay extra for it.

"Smart Speed has saved you an extra 77 hours beyond speed adjustments alone." Enough said.

I drive a truck just far enough to constantly lose radio stations and cell coverage, so podcasts are crucial for me. + <5MB, which is 1/10th the size of most apps. + No frills, but full-featured. + Smart Speed, Voice Boost, and fine speed control rock. + I finally found the settings for downloading over cellular. I was having a problem with that. Support this app; it represents what should be.

Best Podcast App ever! I mean it. Especially for newer iPhones.

Apples podcast app would just quit inexplicably in the middle of episodes and would re-download played episodes. This one doesnt do that. I also think that the interface is better for controlling while driving - large buttons for back 30 seconds. Also super customizable which I appreciate. Really nicely done.

If you care about podcasts at all, this app is a must. Smart speed has cut over 24 hours of silence out of podcast that I listen to over there past couple of years. Thats enough by itself, but there are lots more reasons to choose this over the built in app. Ill let you find those on your own though!

This app fits my podcasting needs perfectly and I will keep using it for the foreseeable future.

Why use an inferior app when this is clearly the correct choice?

Overcast works well, has some nice features, and is easier to understand and use than Podcasts. It is also free, which is really nice!

Overcast is, for me, perfection. If this app didnt exist its highly likely Id stop listening to podcasts entirely. Ive found other offerings to be either a bit buggy or cluttered. Its simple and it works flawlessly!

I used Downcast for years particularly for its ability to import my audio books. My brother switched to Overvast when it first came out and used it for his podcasts and Downcast for his audio books--not a model I was interested in mimicking. Then after a recent update I was rereading a detailed review of all the features in Outcast. I was pleased to see that as a patron you could upload personal (e.g., audio books) content via the web interface. I wish I could have switched sooner. Overcast has an amazing interface, is easy to use, and has great features for playing back at accelerated speeds. I couldnt recommend more. Update: My commute recently when from a total of two hours per week to over two hours per day! Overcast made it easy to add and prioritize all the podcasts my cousin-in-law and brother had been recommending to meet for three part two years. Thanks Overcast!

I originally downloaded Overcast when the Podcasts app was acting super buggy. I havent gone back since.

It is very clear that a great amount of effort and care has gone into the creation of this app. It is a great app that has been expertly crafted. Dont forget to pay the author even though payment is technically optional.

A fantastic app with a neat and clean design. After struggling with the default app for a long time, found this gem. No ads, no interruptions. All the features are available right away. Some interesting things like smart speed which removes any pauses and a voice boost for volume. The author asks for donations only if you like the app.
