Adding a new podcast to a playlist is fiddly and non intuitive and repetitive and just annoying. Otherwise its pretty great, though. Love the "effects" options.

Its the little details. Dont get me wrong, Overcast gets the big things right, but wow I love the details.

But I need to be able to not alphabetically organize the podcasts.

This app is the best for podcast ! Way better than Appls app to keep track when you have a lot of shows. The web access is also a big plus !

Has features you wont find anywhere else like voice boost and smart speed along with playlists to sort your favourite casts however you please. All of this is free and there are a couple bonus features you can unlock by becoming a patron. This means you get all the functionality of a premium podcast player without paying a large fee. Of course if you can support the dev we all get a better app. Hope you like it as much as I do. Thanks Marco!

I work in a very noisy environment and this is the only IOS netcast app that I can use in a noisy environment and be able to hear audio because of the Voice boost effect option.

Best podcast app, however discovery is weak. I understand its hard to compete with iTunes editors, but it would be great to have more discovery features, like most locally popular podcasts, maybe French or other languages than English.

Perfect as a "set it and forget it" app for keeping my podcast feed up to date. Plus, Smart Speed is the best thing I never knew I needed. Dev has paid attention to every detail.

This single feature alone makes Overcast a killer app for me because I frequently need to rewind my podcast and this is extremely annoying with the thoughtlessly designed iOS included podcast app which takes you to the beginning of a podcast or next podcast, iTunes-like junk software!

My favourite podcast app. Wish apple would make it possible to actually uninstall all their native crap that comes with the OS. This app is worth having 2 podcast apps. Much better functionality, much nicer interface, more options/customization/ improvements than the apple podcast app. The latest update is very slow on old iphone 4s. It was always quite snappy until recently. Even the time between tapping play and hearing audio is often 15 seconds or more. It has been the case since the most recent update.

This app is easy to use I have never had issues with it. A much better app than the Apple Podcast app.

Ive finally found a competent replacement to Apples own Podcast app. Overcast never stutters, and manages way larger playlists and many more subscriptions. Its interface and features reflect an elegant and maximally useful design.

I use this app everyday, couldnt imagine using something else.

Overcast review I have a little scepticism before I use the app. But now I see that Marco Arment really outdone himself. Smart speed, voice boost, easy to use scrolling are really nice features. Its also really easy to find new podcasts with recommendations. I also paid for patronage and got the dark theme. However, fonts and touch targets seemed to be too big for me. I couldnt find any setting for that. I hope it would be solved. Overall, best podcast app ever. Keep up the good work.
