The user interface, usability, the underlying concepts and the innovation this app provides is just awesome! I think by now Ive tried almost all major podcast apps out there. Used some for a long time, too. Since version 2.0, Overcast is my favorite one. Use it every day and really like it. Kudos Marco.

Dark mode is nice too.

I use it since it has been released and the experience was always good. From my perspective it is the perfect podcast app for me, because it combines functionality with simplicity. I use this app every day and I am happy supporter/patreon of Marco.

TOP APP

The app itself derserves a good rating, but the upload feature doesnt show up for me as a paying patron, and the developer just ignores any contact attempt about it for weeks. So here you go Marco, 1 star rating until I get a response, because Im frustrated.

I use this app as a replacement for Apples Podcast, which is pretty broken at the moment. There I liked the optical features, like background color adjusting to the podcast logo. But I like Overcast and it does the job. Voice boost is great. Carplay got some problems, but works most times.

If you search for "NPR" it gives you one podcast! And that isnt even by NPR. Downloads need to be happening automatically in the background, not just when the app is open. Slow down feature is really good!

Greetings from Germany, Marco. Really a great app that I use every day. And it is absolutely awesome that the iPhone download is significantly less than 10 MB. Shockingly, this seems to be an exception on the App Store nowadays. Why are all apps 50MB+? I can tell you why: they import a whole bunch of third party code to solve some problems fast and forget that most of the imported code is just useless to them. Ive Just started on a new job on a very young app that doesnt do much yet, but the download is already >30MB! WTF? This will take me some effort to convince the rest of the team to kill a few dependencies... Ill tell them we have to be more like Marco and do our homework. All the best!
