Overcast App Reviews

My first impressions were that this app is light years ahead of the Apple podcast app in terms of design and user interface alone, amongst other aspects. As I have used it more I have found it to be really well thought out, and easy to use. No complaints yet.

Smart Speed makes speech flow together so much better. I dont know if I could listen to a podcast without it! Be careful using speed adjustments with John Siracusa though!

The smart/manual playlist combination is really practical, Smart Speed saves time without messing with voices, the EQ boost really helps in the car, and everything else just works as expected. Great fit for me. The changes in 2.0 are really nice all around, and the new patronage model is a smart move.

A notch above the rest of the disappointing apps out there.

I like it way better than the purple iPodcast app that is forced upon us.

I use this app every day. Its well designed. Great interface and user friendly options.

This App just works well. Ive never had a problem with it; no bugs or crashes or anything. I even bought the premium version, which I never do, because this app is reasonably priced and has great features. I use this app for several hours a day and have never had a problem.

Ive used this app for hours every day for the past month. Ad-free, never crashed, sublime interface, smart speed feature has already saved me hours by cutting out dead air. Im so impressed by this app that I bought a year of patronage (a totally optional purchase to support the developer). This is the podcast app you want!

Marco has made smart choices about what to include into the app for a better listening experience. As any new app, he continues to add features, perfect existing product and actually listens to the feedback. With unique and useful features, simple design, and continuous attention, its a must-have app if you listen to podcasts at all.

So much nicer than the built in one.

Recently tried switching back to podcast.app -- what a disaster. Overcast is peerless. Clear choice for power podcast listeners.

Just getting better and better. It gets out of the way and just makes my podcasts available and plays them properly. Love the smart speed!

Overcast is intuitive and user friendly. After becoming quite frustrated with the native podcast app on my iPhone, discovering Overcast was a breath of fresh air!

(See above) Update June 10, 2016: So good that I just had to become a patron. From top to bottom, this dev has it figured out. :)

This app works great. No crashes. I use it daily and subscribe to 30+ podcasts. It says its saved me 29 hours with their smart playback feature. Its not something that I really notice while listening, but a great feature. Also, it works immensely better than the podcast app. Glitches and crashes with it are what prompted me to get Overcast. Great work!

Does everything you need it to, but "become a patron?" I did it once, wont be doing it twice. Sorry.
