A very clean and simple to use app. Blows the Apple podcast app away.

I use this app daily for hours and hours. The UI is easy to use and the product is always stable. Thank you for providing such a great app for us.

I hope Im not just repeating sentiments that others have shared you here: once I tried Overcast, there was no point in trying any other podcast app. It works just great for me! My favorite user setting is the sleep timer function.

This app is really simple to use with a simple layout. I like that it is easy to use all the features like skipping forward and back, plus the smart speed has saved me over 60 hours. I love this app.

Sure there is the Apple podcasting app (which is meh), but if your looking for something easier to use and has better search give Overcast a try.

Now if I could just figure out how to keep them playing !!

Overcast is a great podcast app. The main competitor is Downcast, which is also a great option. The upsides to Overcast is a nicer UI, and it is more reliable (although to be honest I havent used Downcast in about a year). The downside, and this is not insignificant, is that Overcast doesnt allow you to search through individual feeds. This is a big negative for people that want to listen to old episodes of a podcast on a specific topic.

I bought and paid for this app before it was free with optional patronage, and am disappointed that my purchase didnt even get me some credit for patronage. It seems to me, that people who previously paid for the app were not considered, before the choice to move to a subscription patronage model. The developer hasnt responded to any of my emails or tweets about patronage and offering free updates of new features for people whove previously bought the app. All I want, for having paid for the app, is to get Dark Mode. Is that too much to ask?? I dont agree with the way software devs have been focusing on subscription models. I always choose to buy standalone apps. Its a great podcast app, with great, unique features. But, if the developer continues to ignore their customers needs, they... And I... Will be using s different app, as soon as theres one with the same features.

Smart speed is good. Worth the money for the dark mode.

The blue is ok but I wish I could choose a light orange. It would be nice to offer patrons a few more swatches. Also, I feel that the dark theme is a tad too light.

Smart speed is great, instead of speeding up the podcast by playing the whole thing at 1.3x and making voices sound almost chipmunk like, it eliminates silences and does a much better job. A much better podcast player than the stock one and the best of third party ones. Brilliant work.

There are a lot of really well done podcast apps out there, and I own practically all of them, but Overcast is the best of the lot. Now, with version 2.5, its even better giving you more control and streaming AND chapter support, and you get smart speed! And you get smart speed! And you do! And you! Its smart speed feature is still brilliant. Im saving 5-10 hours a week just on that feature alone and the Voice Boost makes some podcasts listenable that I cant tolerate in other apps.

I love the fit and finish of this app, but the audio features are what set it apart. Audio Boost makes low volume podcasts listenable and Smart Speed helps cut silences so I can listen to more great podcasts. Bravo Marco! Update: Overcast 2.0 got even better. The new features work great, Marco finally squashed the playlist reordering bug, and I applaud the new patronage model. Happy to support future updates! Latest update: DARK MODE!!!

I reluctantly switched from Instacast, but am gratified by how smooth the transition was and how much easier it is to track my podcasts across devices. Just awesome.
